Installation
It's so easy, even a caveman can do it!
The Pods plugin can either be installed manually or automatically (via the WP Admin interface). In both cases, you will need to manually complete some final steps in order for the plugin to function properly.
Server Requirements
- PHP 5.2.4+
- MySQL 5.0+
- WordPress 3.1+ (it's recommended you stay up-to-date with the latest stable version of WordPress)
- URL Rewrite support (Apache: mod_rewrite, IIS: ISAPI Rewrite v3, nginx)
- wp-content/plugins/pods must be readable by the server
Manual Install
- Download the latest version of the plugin
- Upload and unzip the contents of the "pods" folder to your site's wp-content/plugins/ directory
- Log into your site's WordPress Admin section
- Go to Plugins > Installed and activate the "Pods CMS Framework" plugin
Automatic Install
- Log into your site's WordPress Admin section
- Go to Plugins > Add New and enter a search for "Pods"
- Click the "Install" link in the right-hand column of the "Pods CMS Framework" listing
- Click the red "Install" button
- Click "Activate" once WordPress has finished downloading and installing the plugin
Final Steps
- In Settings > Permalinks, set the Custom Structure to /%postname%/ or similar
